Cal Munné, start-up of the machine built in the nineteenth century

And from the water… a sheet of paper. The machines picardo revolutionized the system of traditional manufacture,because it allowed to make sheets of paper one by one. In 1881, Isidre Soteras manufactured the first picardo for the paper mill of cal Violant, in Capellades. In the images, putting into operation a Picardo machine in the old Munné paper mill. The owners Jaume and Pilar teach the new generations how the paper was made. An intimate day to remember where we come from and who we are, to revive a daily smell and noise.
